Sam’s delighted to have been invited (hey that rhymes!) to join Lamps Collective as director for their inaugural projects, and is relishing the opportunity to work alongside super-talented, super-nice folk with something worthwhile to say. (Crying with laughter in rehearsals is an added bonus…)

Sam’s been teaching and directing for over twenty years, touring Theatre-in-Education shows, musicals and comedies nationally and internationally. She’s a firm believer in the power of live theatre to transform and enrich people’s lives.

Sam writes, performs and directs for local churches as well as teaching Drama, leading workshops and running auditions and public speaking courses. She also travels the country as an examiner for A level Theatre Studies, and loves the opportunity of seeing loads of wonderful student theatre for free!

A passionate supporter of Community Theatre and bringing people together generally, Sam directed the first Abingdon Passion Play in 2013, which featured a cast of over two hundred and drew in audiences of well over a thousand (despite taking place outside in sub-zero temperatures!).

Sam practises her directing techniques on her patient husband and three lovely children at home in Oxfordshire. They are remarkably forgiving.
